Luther Area Museum

The Luther Area Museum is located on the site of the demolished LUther Agricultural School. It took four years for the Museum to become a reality, beginning in 1997 with an idea, to breaking ground in 1998, and finally dedication in 2001. The Museum is a community effort, planned, built and funded by the community.

Besides beging a storehouse for Luther history, another goal is to encourage our young people to learn about history while making their own. The museum provides a glimpse of the past through hands-on experiences include treasure hunts within the museum, history lessons, concelling stamps on the old post office machine, making elderberry friters, using treadle swewing machines, and planting trees on Arbor Day. Taking pride and ownership in the community is a worthy goal for everyone.

"Take our path to the past."
