Sherry Carlson of the Luther Days Association for managing the mini fundraiser, raffling off the windmill and flowers raising $355.
It was a great success. About 150 people came out to have dinner and bid on items in our Auction. $7400 was raised that night to help us on our way to meeting our goal of $50,000.
Special THANKS go to Dale Forbes, of Forbes Farm Market on M-37, for being our Auctioneer and to his family for running the Auction part of the evening. Music was provided by MNM Audio Zone and they did a very nice job with the tunes. Scott Lucas cooked a delicious chicken dinner that was enjoyed by all. And last but not least, THANK YOU to all the workers who helped make the fundraiser a success, they are Scott and Jody Lucas, Amy Jo Prater, Shannon Zimmerman, Crystal Jurik, Sharon Baker, Irene Sawyer, Esther Henderson, Lola Long, Beverly Armstrong, Shirley Flynn, and the many others who gave of their time so unselfishly and worked so hard. We are truly grateful for this kind of support. Without them, we simply couldn’t have done this.
We are planning a White Elephant Sale Saturday July 3rd, during Luther Logging Days at the New Library. For more information on that, contact the Library. Also, we have had a few people contact us wanting to know where to send donations. If you would like to contribute to the Library’s building fund, donations may be sent to
